American Graphics Enterprises (AGE) started operations in 1973 as a small label company with an 8,000 square foot shop in Orange, California. The Company incorporated in 1979, and with the financial and engineering strength of the new leadership, began a series of technology advancements that transformed AGE into a broad-based supplier in the Specialty Graphics and Imaging industry.

By the very early 1980s, AGE became the first graphic overlay and membrane switch supplier in the RV industry to utilize CNC machinery and silk-screen processes sequentially. This technology combination enabled AGE to fill the industry need for specialty graphics printing and fabrication on thicker plastic materials.

AGE moved quickly away from the conventional ways of producing Graphic Overlays, Membrane Switches, Touch Screens, Labels, and Die-Cutting by introducing UV texturing (hard-coating) machines, laser equipment, and CNC machines. Whenever technology advancements in equipment became available, AGE was one of the first to purchase the latest equipment. More recently, AGE became one of the industries first to embrace digital printing technology.

With the increase in technology and capability came the need to expand the plant; AGE moved to its second home in Orange in 1988 before acquiring its current 20,000 square foot state-of-the art facility in Santa Fe Springs, California in 1996.

In early 2005, the Company began implementing formal quality systems and became certified under ISO9001:2000 in September 2007 [click to view press release]. Since then, the Company has upgraded to the latest ISO standard, ISO9001:2008.

Like all leading edge companies, AGE has invested generously in factory automation as well as process technology.  OEM customers demand faster turn-around, exacting graphic specifications, and tighter alignment tolerances.  Manual-feed and roll-to-roll equipment provides OEMs with the flexibility of ordering both short-run AND long-run production.

Graphic complexity

Digital processing starts the process with the ability to print complex graphics and crisp fonts clearly. Material substrates are transferred easily to multicolored silk screen printing equipment where custom blended colors and opacity complete the job.

Through the years dedicated customers have enjoyed the ability to demand expert quality when they need it. AGE has grown with its customers by being flexible and turning orders on demand. AGE eagerly delivers finished labels to OEMs in roll form to facilitate factory automation at the OEM location. And finally, AGE offers JIT delivery programs and supplier-managed inventory control to help OEMs reduce costs and lead time dependency.
